The wasteWOIMA® power plant has two main purposes; one, to incinerate the waste streams to reduce their environmental and social impact, and two, generate power for the local industries and population. The plant can deliver several different energy commodities even simultaneously as a combined heat and power (CHP) plant. These include saturated or superheated steam, thermal energy (heating and/or cooling) and electricity. Or it can be configured to concentrate on electricity with potential saturated steam side stream.
The steam and thermal energy quality and quantity can be decided on a case-by-case bases.
The left-over energy (if any) is then utilized in electricity generation. The distribution between different energy commodities can vary according to the season, based on the outside temperature or even on an hourly basis. Basically, the only limiting factor is the 15MW thermal power capacity of each WOIMAline®.
