The wasteWOIMA® WtE power plant’s electricity generation capability is somewhat dependent on the plant’s condensing capacity, i.e. the level of vacuum that the condenser(s) can generate to enable the turbine to extract every last ounce of energy out of the steam flow.
As standard, the wasteWOIMA® plant uses modular air-cooled condensers (ACC) that are
- Easy to deliver
- Fast to install
- Simple to maintain
- Scalable
The efficiency of the ACC is directly affected by the ambient temperature and the number of condenser units (modules). Standard wasteWOIMA® delivery includes three dual-fan modules reaching 0.08 bar(a) turbine back-pressure in 20oC temperature. With five modules this can improve to 0.05 bar(a).
In a nutshell; the more condenser units there are, the stronger the vacuum and the higher the power output.
Combined, these WOIMAbenefits can generate up to 400,000€ of additional revenue during the WtE plant lifespan.
