Water is an extremely precious, and often scarce or hard-to-reach, resource in many parts of the world. The WOIMAdesign ensures that as little water as possible is wasted in the wasteWOIMA® WtE plant mainly thanks to the closed steam-water –cycle. Unfortunately, it is still inevitable that some water (~500-600 l/h) is required to replenish the plant due to evaporation and water quality degradation.
All the water in the wasteWOIMA® plant is recycled as
- Process water
- Cooling water for equipment
- Cooling water for ashes
The wasteWOIMA® plant can utilize water from several different sources
- Town water main
- River, lake or sea water
- Bore hole water
- Tanker-delivered water
Combined, these WOIMAbenefits can save up to 400,000€ during the WtE plant lifespan in operation and maintenance.
