The world needs strong leadership more than ever before. That is a strong statement but as we look what our planet is going through, that statement is very valid.
The World has enough managers and doers which is great, but true leaders with clear vision, are still too scarce. We need more leaders and less managers. After reading this blog you should have better understanding why.
Leadership as the driver to reach Greener Future
The world needs strong leadership more than ever before. That is a strong statement but as we look what our planet is going through, that statement is very valid. The World has enough managers and doers which is great, but true leaders with clear vision, are still too scarce. We need more leaders and less managers. After reading this blog you should have better understanding why.
There is a big difference between leadership and management. Actually, those two are often mixed to mean same thing which could not be more far from the truth. Leaders coach us to reach things in a long-term, rather than short term, for things that no-one has done before. This separates them from managers. Leaders know that doing things together drive us towards common goals rather than working for someone else’s own personal goals.
We in WOIMA see leadership as the cornerstone for all changes and development. Leaders are usually the ones that show us the path that is built on commonly recognised values and who are also committed to stand in the front line to drive the change. Leaders have vision and are even willing to sacrifice themselves for common good. Leaders might not tell us exactly how, but they show us why and lead us in which direction to go. Don’t get us wrong, we do need managers as well. Managers, when positioned right, act as the front-line drivers who execute the leaders vision into practice.
Waste-to-energy as renewable energy and future baseload is still rather new concept in many parts of the world. Waste to Energy concept is well proven here in the Nordic countries but still quite un-known for example in Africa. Someone needs to be the first. It requires true leadership and vision to make commitment to save the planet. Therefore, we in WOIMA are happy to see such green leadership in many locations where WOIMA is also active such as in Africa & Russia. Leaders in these countries and communities have realised the urgency for fast actions what comes saving our planet and not denying the evident climate change that is happening. Those leaders are ready to act and do their part and willing to lead local environmental actions by also recognising the benefits that waste-to-energy solutions can bring to the societies they present.
Green values are conquering the world, just look how the renewables are replacing fossil fuels as baseload, which drives also the WOIMA Mission to save the planet. Our wasteWOIMA concept is well received in the market with our visionary view of greener planet. We stick with our values and continue our journey knowing that future belongs to believers with clear vision.
