The wasteWOIMA® is a base-load power plant delivering constant power 24/7, apart from the maintenance breaks. The base-load power is necessary in ensuring reliable power transmission and distribution. The plant both supports and integrates easily with intermittent power generation solutions such as solar PV and wind energy. The waste reception and pre-treatment buildings offer an excellent installation platform to solar PV panels generating electricity for the power plant’s self-consumption.
This hybrid power utility solution can be further enhanced with battery technology for load balancing purposes.
Renewable electricity generated during the day can be stored and consumed during the night. Similarly, electricity produced during the off-peak hours is made available during peak hours. The hybrid energy production, including battery storage and intermittent power generation, enables the customer to deliver more subsidized waste-to-energy power to the grid.
