In most locations there are seasonal and daily variations in the ambient conditions, such as temperature and humidity. In some cases, these can be extreme varying dozens of degrees centigrade or percentage points. The wasteWOIMA® power plant adapts automatically to changes in the operating environment.
The turbine and condenser adjust the pressure and temperature of the condensing process to always deliver maximum power relative to the prevailing conditions.
The plant is capable of handling fluctuations in the power demand as well. Typically, the customer is responsible for the steam condensing, when power is delivered in the form of thermal energy. If and when the customer is unable to do this, e.g. under emergency conditions, the plant’s back-up condensing solution will kick in. And if the delivered power is electricity, the plant can switch over to an island operating mode or switch the generator off, should the transmission grid fail.
