One of the key flexibilities that the wasteWOIMA® power plant offers is decentralization potential. Processing and recycling the waste, also to energy, close to where it has been generated should always be the preferred method. This cuts down on the unnecessary waste transportation from collection points to often remote centralized waste-to-energy power plants or landfills. It also minimized the plant footprint due to smaller installed units.
The decentralized plants can be used to power local industries with thermal energy; heating / cooling and/or saturated / super-heated steam.
These energy commodities, especially important to the food industry, are difficult and often impossible to supply from a centralized location. Electricity can then be generated in large power plants with higher efficiency ratio. Or in smaller wasteWOIMA® power plants, should the transmission grid prefer smaller generation units.
