Foundation building is another part of the mandatory civil works complementing the wasteWOIMA^® WtE power plant delivery. It forms the solid foundation on which the plant is eventually erected. A simple uniform reinforced concrete slab is by far the easiest foundation to build.

The wasteWOIMA20 plant weighs less than 1,000 tons and its weight is quite evenly distributed, which leads to

• A uniform reinforced concrete slab foundation for the WOIMAline boiler island(s)
• A similar uniform reinforced concrete slab foundation for most of the Balance of Plant solutions
• A “pad and chimney” foundation for the ACC and service modules

The contact pressure for the non-cohesive soil at the serviceability limit state is only 0.25 MPa.
